New Caribbean Hotels Open this Winter and Spring

(November 18) As it nears the end of 2009, the Caribbean welcomes new hotels and new designs debuting this winter and early spring.

Out with the old, in with the new.  On islands both big and small, new hotels are opening and new deals are being offered.

Antigua
Jumby Bay reopens on December 1, 2009
Nightly rates start at $1,395 and include all meals, beverages, afternoon tea, water taxi from Antigua, access to fitness club and gear for activities

Sugar Ridge opens on December 1, 2009
Reserve a five-night stay by January 31st to receive a special nightly rate of $120 with breakfast or $210 all-inclusive

Aruba
Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino debuts their remodeled spa
Book by November 30th for travel January 1st through April 8th to receive a 40% room discount

Bahamas
Sandals Emerald Bay Great Exuma opens in January
All-inclusive nightly rates start at $324

Curacao
Hyatt Regency Curacao Golf Resort, Spa and Marina opens next month
Introductory rates are expected to be in the mid-$200 range

Dominican Republic
Punta Cana’s Barcelo Bavaro Family Deluxe opens next month
Starting nightly rates are $249 for adults and $125 for children

St. Lucia
Hotel Chocolat, a 10-room boutique eco-hotel, opens on March 2, 2010
Rates will be $700 a night per room

Turks and Caicos
Gansevoort opened its first Caribbean property
Nightly rates start at $450 per person

Veranda Resort and Residences opens on February 1, 2010
Book now through April 10th to receive a 30% room discount
